The United States Embassy in Juba warmly welcomes the arrival of Ambassador Michael J. Adler to South Sudan. He is the fourth U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan. Ambassador Adler arrived in Juba on August 23 and presented his credentials to President Salva Kiir Mayardit the following day.
After confirmation by the United States Senate, Ambassador Adler was sworn in on August 10 in Washington, DC by Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, who was joined by Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of African Affairs Ervin Massinga.
