Ambassador Adler and the U.S. Embassy team hosted an iftar in Juba to commemorate the holy month of Ramadan on April 13. Members of the Islamic Council of South Sudan, including His Eminence Sheik Dr. Abdallah Baraj Rwal, attended, along with other guests.
This was the first iftar hosted by the U.S. Embassy since 2019, and we welcomed friends from a range of faiths as we reflected on the significance of the month for Muslims and the importance of peace to all of us. We take this opportunity to say Ramadan Kareem to all who are celebrating.
